«The land with the vast sea»

This is the heart of Norveg. Here people learn about coastal Norway's development through 10.000 years and can experience and take part in our past, our present and our future. Environments from various periods of time are reconstructed, and audio visual, digitized, and interactive mediation is integrated among the unique objects from pre-historic times. One of the central questions asked is "what is the future of Norway's coast and the fish industry?" The purpose is to create a highly relevant apropos to the historic starting point.

With the help of audio guides visitors are equipped with their own personal story teller as you wander through the exhibition. Visitors will meet exciting persons and events as they go!
