Membership in ICME

ICME is an international committee within ICOM.

How do you become a member of ICOM?
In order to become a member of ICME you have to be a member of ICOM. Apply for membership in ICOM through the national ICOM committee in your country. If there is no national ICOM committee in your country, seek assistance from the ICOM headquarters in Paris.

How do you become a member of ICME?
As a member of ICOM you have the right to be voting member of one international committee. In addition, you also have the right to become a member of as many other International Committees as you wish, but without any voting rights. Ask your national committee or the ICOM headquarter in Paris for a ICOM registration form.

Over 600 members
ICME has more than 600 voting and non voting members from all parts of the world, and the number is continuously increasing. Our members come from a wide variety of museum professions.

Electronic communication
Like other international committees, ICME is changing its communication with members from ordinary mail to electronic mail. This is necessary for economic reasons, but also makes it possible to communicate more often and without many restraints.
